Rolland Fiddle Camp will be held from July 8 - July 14, 2011 at the Hermit Basin Conference Center. This beautiful facility was originally constructed to house the Conquistador Ski Resort. The ski lift is no longer operational, but you can see the ski slopes in the picture above. From the letter "M" in the heading "Lodging & Meals" above, move your gaze vertically upward to a point about midway up in the dark green forested area. The lighter green diagonal streaks are the ski slopes that lead down to to the Hermit Basin Conference Center.
The hotel has 36 rooms, 16 of which have kitchenettes; the other 20 have bunk beds. All rooms have a queen size bed, queen size sofa sleeper, private bathroom, television and telephone. The Day Lodge is a separate building which houses the dining room, the 60' x 40' Vista Meeting Room, the 30'x40' Timber Ridge Meeting Room, the recreation room with the ping pong table and pool table, and other smaller meeting spaces. It is an easy walk along the dirt road connecting the hotel rooms and the Day Lodge, and on the way you pass the heated indoor lap swimming pool. There is also a hot tub & Sauna to soak your weary muscles in!
Meals are plentiful and brought to your table by servers. All meals are served in a single seating. Breakfast is served at 8am; lunch at noon; dinner at 6pm. Snacks are available between meals. Sack lunches can be prepared with advance notice. If you have special dietary needs please let us know in your registration application.
